Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. On her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne (in flashback) her mother starred as Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. Her parents, however, did not want her to perform until she turned an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry was shy throughout high school and didn't act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends upon her transfer from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University moved into New York in search of television roles. The actress was offered small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homelessness brought her back to California to pursue theater opportunities. In 2013 she performed in The Other Place on Broadway together with her mom. In 2015, she appeared along with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry made an appearance in nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. In 2017, she performed a role as a support in ABC's political thriller Scandal in which her father was the main character. In the same year, she appeared as a child-like model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a youthful version. She was able to be cast in the part despite the close family connection to the character.
