Mary Marg Helgenberger (born November 16 1958) is an American actor. She began her acting career at the beginning of the 1980s and became famous for the role she played as Siobhan Ryan between 1982 and 1986 on the daytime show Ryan's Hope. Her most well-known part is Catherine Willows, a CBS procedural police drama. Crime Scene Investigation (2000-13) and its sequel, the television movie Immortality (2015). She reprised her role in Immortality's sequel Vegas (2022-present). Helgenberger was also known for her role as K.C. She won the Emmy Award in 1990 for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series to honor her role in the role of Koloski on the ABC drama China Beach from 1988 to 1991. Her other credits include TV program Under the Dome (1998) and Intelligence (1995) along with as films Species (2000) Erin Brockovich (2000) and Mr. Brooks (2007). The eldest of four children. McCain finished her education through Phoenix Country Day School. Phoenix Country Day School and Xavier College Preparatory an all-girl private Catholic high school. In 2007, she earned the Bachelor's Degree in Art Studies from Columbia University. In 2017, she joined the talk show on daytime The View where she co-hosted until 2021. She was awarded 4 Daytime Emmy award nominations for the show's efforts. Other ventures McCain began writing columns for the Daily Mail newspaper after her three-year tenure on The View. McCain is also the author of four books: Her Dad John McCain: Dad John McCain, Dirty Sexy Politics and America You Sexy Bitch.
